WHICH WAY NORTH
as part of Great Exhibition of the North Great North Museum: Hancock 2018 |
Northern Nori was commissioned by Grainne Sweeney, curator of Which Way North at Great North Museum: Hancock as part of Great Exhibition of the North. The work is a response to Kathleen Drew Baker’s research on the edible seaweed Porphyra laciniata.
"The printed marks made by the Bassett’s Liquorice Allsorts, roots the work firmly in the North and resonates with another strand that runs throughout the exhibition - the idea of two worlds colliding. "
